It’s July 4th here in America – the celebration of the nation’s birthday. 233 years ago today, the Founding Fathers of this land signed The Declaration of Independence and the greatest nation on Earth was born.

Today is a day for Americans to celebrate the birth of the country with friends and family, but most importantly to remember all those that sacrificed so much to get America where it is today. It is also important to think about those that are still protecting America today in Iraq, Afghanistan, and all over the world.

Happy 233rd birthday America!

I am also pleased to say that Veggie Gardener has reached a milestone of its own today – this is the 100th post. I dearly appreciate all the gardeners that have stopped by to visit, and hope to have another 100 posts and beyond.

Everyone please have a safe and enjoyable July 4th!
