Recent News at Veggie Gardener

It has been some very busy times here at Veggie Gardener. With the coming of spring there has been much going on in the vegetable garden and on the internet. I just wanted to take a minute to let everyone know about a few happenings on the internet that I’ve had the privilege to take part in recently.

As most of you already know, there are a bunch of great blogs run by a bunch of awesome people on the internet today. I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be a guest poster at many of these websites. If anyone has not had the chance to read these guest posts, here is a summary.

Veggie Gardening Tips

The most recent guest post was featured on Kenny Point’s fantastic vegetable gardening blog, Veggie Gardening Tips. Kenny was gracious enough to give me the opportunity to talk a bit about heirloom vegetables and the importance of growing them. To read the post, please visit – Defining Times For Heirloom Vegetable Varieties. Be sure to check out Veggie Gardening Tips for loads of great vegetable, herb and fruit growing information on Kenny’s site.

Garden Rant

Next, Susan Harris of Garden Rant fame, gave me a voice to vent my seed packet frustrations on their wonderful blog. I was sowing seeds one afternoon and spilled a whole pack of seeds all over my deck. The wind blew the pack over and tiny seeds went flying everywhere. Needless to say, I was very annoyed at why seed packets did not have a resealable closure. To read the entire rant, please visit – Seed Companies: Please Enter The 21st Century. You can find many colorful conversations and differing opinions there; it’s a truly unique and wonderful blog. I highly recommend including Garden Rant in your RSS reader!

Home Construction & Improvement

I was honored to have a guest post on Home Construction & Improvement a few weeks ago, providing tips for saving time in the garden. It was a lot of fun writing the post and I’m very thankful they featured it on their site. To read the tips visit – 10 Tips For Saving Time In The Garden. Home Construction & Improvement is filled with oodles of awesome information on home repair, remodeling, do-it-yourself projects, tool reviews and much more. It is definitely a must-read for any homeowner!

Be On The Lookout – Changing Email Services Soon

One other bit of news from the cyber world. I am currently in the process of switching email newsletter services. It is a bit of a bumpy transition, but is shaping up nicely. The new email service provides more robust features which will enable us to communicate more efficiently with one another.

I look forward to extending our communications and provide better media avenues for us to share our vegetable gardening tips, tricks and adventures! Once the new service is totally set up and running, I believe it will help me to provide you with a better system for delivering vegetable gardening news and content to you.

If you are already a member of the Veggie Gardener Email Club, thank you for being a part of the community! You will receive an email in the coming days, outlining some of the changes.

If you haven’t joined the Veggie Gardener Email Club yet, I encourage you to do so by simply filling out the form below this post. I would love to have you in the Club! Come be a part of our vegetable gardening family.
