I am an artist, painter/jewelry maker, and lover of gardening. I especially like old fashioned plants and wildflowers. My grandparents always had a huge vegetable garden, which they lived on all summer, and in the winter they ate the produce they canned. I learned so much from them and now enjoy canning and preserving veggies from my own garden! This year I have 14 heirloom tomato plants, pickling cucumbers, jalapeño and Serrano peppers, red okra, broccoli, and peanut beans, also known as pink half runners. They’re an heirloom variety that my family always grew. Glad to be here and hope to learn a lot from my fellow gardeners!
