I picked an apple off my tree last night to see if it was sweet enough. MMMMM, they are SO good this year. The sweetest they've ever been!

So this weekend is apple processing time! I'll be picking over 100 apples and making applesauce, apple butter and some apple pie filling. And since I'm canning all those, I'll need to make something for immediate consumption since my husband will definitely want something to sink his taste buds into. So, I think I'll make this super yummy apple cake with homemade caramel sauce to drizzle over it. Processing all those apples is a big and tiring job, but I'm so looking forward to the smells of apples, cinnamon, cloves, etc . in the house all day!

Apple Butter!! yum...... Apple cake!! omg... That is the best part of fall; all the wonderful things people do with apples. I have apple trees in pots. Can't wait for them to start producing. I got Asian pears this year so I am very hopeful.
