Newbie but I would like to have a vegetable garden. My ground is covered in weedy growth or tree and plant roots. I live in the Sub-tropical area of Atherton Qld Australia which is a basalt volcanic soil area. Here's hoping 🌱😆

Welcome Faye....Looks like you have some work ahead of you. My thoughts on that area is to dig it out and terrace it. Lots of labor though unless you have some machinery. Another idea might be raised beds to help level it. It looks like a nice sunny area.

Yes I'm getting some help to decide on a layout and labour to make it easy access. Maybe as you say terracing. I also have purchased some raised bed holders and larger grow bags.
