We are expecting a light frost tonight here in southeast Texas. My potatoes were about 6" high, so I covered them in loose soil for the night to protect them from frost burn. Tomorrow I will wash the soil back off the leaves with a water hose and hopefully all will be good from here. Fingers crossed...

They will likely just grow up through the dirt whether you take the dirt off or not. I hill mine up to almost the top leaves sometimes.
We got a few more inches of snwo here last night. It will melt off this week......1st day of spring this week.

Yeah I hill mine also, but I did put much more soil on them today than I usually do. Fortunately my soil is very sandy and light, so I'm not too worried about breaking them over.
