Leaves are just starting to fall here. Yesterday I had to cut the grass so put my lawn sweeper behind my lawn tractor and cut. What I got was a mixture of chopped leaves and grass. I am thinking about putting it in my raised beds as mulch to be mixed in next spring. I don't think any of the grass was going to seed at this time of year. Any thoughts on this?

The other day I picked up a load of cattle manure. I now have that, a pile of leaves, a bin with kitchen scraps and some top oil.

This morning, I spread some of each on the ground and went over it a few times with my tiller. I then scooped it into a pile and it will sit until spring. Should make a nice additive to my garden and planters.
