Just because you don't have land to grow on, does not mean you can't grow your own veggies, lettuces, fruits, and herbs. In fact, our heavy-duty & recycled plastic shelf systems make container gardening and potting easy & enjoyable
The container garden that I grew on and summer grew great. We have a short growing season outdoors, but I learned a lot about Container Gardening. Next year, I will choose my veggie plants wiser and do an even better job. But most importantly, I learned from my container garden experience in 2020 & 2021 that you can most definitely grow many veggies, herbs, and lettuces in containers.
Our lightweight & heavy-duty recycled plastic shelf systems are modular, easy to assemble/disassemble, portable, weatherproof, chemical resistant, durable, long-lasting, multipurpose, and useful. They also come in solid and ventilated top shelves.
I was able to grow on the ventilated shelves indoors, with grow lights, then easily move the same shelves outdoors to grow on when the time was right.

I'm trying to get more into tomatoes, I am going to retire next year or the year after and would like a hobby. I've had a small "sort of" garden the last couple of years, but my tomatoes aren't "WOW" worthy. I don't have too much space to rotate where I plant.

I am here to get help with how to condition my soil and the best cage for them to grow in.

That's all for now.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, good to have you here. Hopefully some of our members can give you some advice. What is your location, may have something to do with it.......I have fairly good luck with tomatoes. I wouldn't call the WOW worthy either, but I get lots. Going to try some in raised beds this year for the first time.
I think I need to test my soil to see where it's at. I started my seedlings, and they are up. I still have a month and a half before they get planted outside.

I wonder how to make the tomatoes more bushy than tall.

A lot depends on the variety of tomato plant, some are bushier than others. Also trimming off the tops will make it bushier.

not to sure how to trim the tops
What I do is wait until they flower. Growth above that is just stems and leaves are trimmed off so the growth goes mainly into the flower which becomes the tomatoes. There are a bunch of YouTube videos on the subject....
