haha - funny but not true
2 bucks is 1 lb of poor quality tomatoes at your big box - your pic is more than 1 lb
have you looked at prices of quality tomatoes at farmer's markets? - more like $4-$5 / lb - that's for fresh and it doesn't quantify the value of eating a sun warmed fruit directly off the vine
it takes effort for sure but quality and quantity is directly proportional to effort (and luck)
with a $2 pack of seeds you can grow 100 lbs of tomatoes, good delicious fully ripened
