My Name is Hellen. Am a Kenyan citizen aged 53. Am a mother of two adult girls, two adult boys and one cute 3yr old grand daughter. I work at the University of Nairobi Medical School. My biggest hobby is gardening.

My small garden of (one quarter acre) has a variety of vegetables and fruits which include carrots, kale, onions, cabbages, maize, beans, pumbkins, oranges, mangoes, bananas, avocados and many others. My major problem has been trying to grow tomatoes, which I keep on loosing due to damage from blight and other diseases. Still I have not given up. Anybody with any helpful tips or solution?

try a row cover over the tomatoes and water the ground/roots under the tomato to prevent water getting on the leaves/tomato's. This should help some as rain water tends to be the bringer of blight and molds which is not good for tomato's. plus they love the heat.
