I just started my first garden less than a month ago and discovered this site while searching for some information about Miracle-Gro. I accidentally used too much of it and wanted to make sure that my vegetables will be safe to eat. 🥴🥴 I read the article about the don’ts of gardening and enjoyed it so much that I registered just to leave a comment. Thank you for sharing your advice in such a way that I don’t feel so bad about my mistakes. 👋🏽😊

Hello and welcome to the forums
Your veg will be alright to eat. Are they in the ground or in containers?
Thank you, Logan. I’m glad to be here. I have tomato and pepper plants growing in containers. My tomato is growing after only 3 weeks and just noticed a red pepper growing. I am excited but was worried if they would be healthy to eat. I’m glad to hear that they will be alright. Thank you!

Too much Miracle-Gro will burn your plants. I’m glad you found the article helpful. The Miracle-Gro we use in our gardens is not the same chemical compound that they use to fertilize people, yet a few people are still afraid to use it on their plants. The Miracle-Gro we use is made up of organic materials that are scientifically proven to be safe for human consumption. There are some myths out there regarding the safety of Miracle-Gro, but it is still better to be safe than sorry. Hence I always suggest people to read the labels carefully before using a product.

Thank you for the advice! Could you explain what you mean when you said “to fertilize people”?
