Living in the low desert in AZ has its fair share of gardening challenges for sure! I have several raised beds, fruit trees and an aquaponics system...all keep us busy!
Although our gardening timetables vary quite a bit from other areas of the country, we still have similar issues with pests, growing techniques and soil building.
We recently expanded and built several raised beds and unfortunately, the soil we purchased was not what we expected. It was more like mulch than compost...SO, until we get that sorted out (Any suggestions are welcome!!!) we are putting off our planting until the fall or spring.
Would love to hear from other gardeners working on soil building and any and all tricks and tips that have worked for you!
