Help with Aphids....

I am having major trouble with aphids on my chilli and brinjal (auberjine) plants. The chilli tree is full of flowers and new chilli buds but they fall off before maturing. Tried 1 vinegar and 1 cup water solution. Worked but the leaves burnt for the acidity. Need some simple advise. At the moment try hosing it down, not sure if this works.
