I did the fish fertilizer once every two weeks when they were small. Once they got bigger and started producing once a month. Epsom: I sprayed on the plants as soon as they flower and about once a week after that. In this video, I show you the progress of my tomato plants that were started from seed in February. Learn some easy, cheap fertilizing tips that have turned my tiny seedlings into a literal tomato jungle in my backyard garden.

I live in Hot Arizona, and tried something different last year. 1st I planted in September, and had tomatoes all winter and spring. (Summer kills them in the desert). 2nd, I put a banana below the hole when I planted the little seedlings, and I had 5 foot plants, and the best crop I have ever seen since I was previously lived in California. Yes, the fish fertilizer works great also. John

I live in Hawaii and we can plant almost everything yr around. We can't grow tomatoes (except cherry tomatoes), melons, most peppers, anything with a soft skin. Medflys get them and rots them. In a green house people grow tomatoes, peppers as such. Garlic likes a cold season to grow so I put my garlic i'm going to plant in the refrigerator for 3 months which tricks them that is their cold season and I get some nice looking garlic. I do use the cuban variety though. I have worm bins for worm casting and mycorrhizal fungi when transplanting for a healthier, bigger plants and for the most part disease restraint. Love mycorrhizal.
