I have a battery operated blower and am about to go in on a weed eater. I love the convenience of just grabbing a battery and going. Nothing to mix, no cords, no extra gas can. I'm using the Kobalt line from Lowe's in 40v. Blowers goes like hell for about 25 minutes on a charge. More than enough time for driveway, street, deck and pool deck. Kodi nox I'd imagine it would shred through azaleas like a boss if I had the clippers, which is probably my next buy.

Hi...Black and Decker 36V Support trimmer. I have three batteries which can cover any work I take on. Thing has been great and SUPER LIGHT. I go through almost 1 support trimmer per season ($75). Once it begins to act clever I supplant it. I also always carry a plug in unit within the trailer as a reinforcement.

I don't know your yard or your needs, but I have the Stihl km94 kombisystem. They have a homeowner km 56 version. (2stroke mix gas) You can get any attachment you would need. I have a broom for my business, but the home I have a 4' extension, pole saw, hedge trimmer, string trimmer, bed edger, sidewalk edger, and hopefully come Xmas a tiller. The homeowner brands, Troy bilt, toro, Ryobi have similar systems... If he's a yard nut like me, having different attachments is great... Shameless plug; my local Stihl dealer is homeowner/contractor friendly and has great customer service.
