My first garden from a family which had very strong growing roots in my small town. I've been doing tons of research hoping to learn. My name is Beth Ann, site name is Ewing Girl. I am from Ewing, a very small town in Southern Illinois. Zone 6/7.
I can't wait to learn and I am ready for the hard work and yummy food!
I LOVE THIS SITE!

Research is good, reading is good, talking to others is good and alot of the learning curve is also gained through just doing it and seeing what works, what doesn't and what to do differently next time. The whole process is fun! Welcome to the board!

I am going into my 4th year of gardening and as always am worried about if the seeds grow, will they produce, bugs, deer,if I will get the last 2 walls and door on my green house, when will I have time to get that last truck load of veggie soil, will my S.O. get the tiller fixed in time, will it rain too much this year or not enough, when to order the good bugs, hoping the tomato starts show up healthy, hoping we don't have a late hard freeze. this is what bothers me till every thing is growing and planted.

welcome ewing girl. One thing you will learn is that you will never "learn" it all about gardening!! That's what makes gardening so exciting and interesting, never a dull moment. This is a great place to get started learning . All these folks are good gardeners, and I have learned a lot from them here.
