Hi, my name is Kristi and I have always enjoyed playing in the dirt but this year I tried my hand in some new things. In the past we have planted flower beds and in our vegetable garden, we kept it to the basics with just tomatoes , bell peppers and cucumbers. With the way the economy has gotten, I decided to try my hand at anything that my family eats. So, my entire backyard is now a vegetable garden. I live in zone 9 and this year I learned how to plant garlic, eggplant, potatoes and 2 varieties of beans along with our tomatoes, cucumbers, cantaloupes and squash. I am always looking for advice and new things to try my hand in. I am excited about this site and I look forward to sharing and learning from each of you.
