If you had to pick one book about vegetable gardening which one would it be?

growing vegetables, west of the cascades. this is for the region I live in and if possible you should be able to find a book for your area also. has great tips and how to's in it for my area.

Is this an early Christmas wish list that you are trying to start for gardeners? If so, I have already created a list and it just so happen that I have "American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America" by: Michelle Obama on my wish list.

I recently purchased Four Season Harvest, by Eliot Coleman. I haven't had a chance to start it yet, but it came highly recommended by a few friends that are avid gardeners and said it's the most used book they have and highly recommended it.

Veggiewhisperer - did you get that book? if so, what do you think of it? I think that sounds interesting and I just adore Michelle Obama - I think the awareness she has brought towards homegrown foods, nutrition in schools, etc. is admirable.
