Hi, my name is Shirley & I have been a serious veggie gardener for 6 years now. I live in zone 9, north of Lake Ponchartrain in Louisiana. I have raised beds and I garden organically as much as possible. I am now growing tomatoes, cucumbers, purple pole beans, yard long beans, peppers, and a variety of herbs. My cucumber plants are being eaten by small-about one-eighth inch long, black winged bugs, which I do not recall ever seeing in my garden. I have tried red pepper spray, Neem oil, an insecticidal soap spray, and every time, it seems I kill them, but next day hundreds more are on the leaves. They are causing brown spots that grow until the whole leaf dies. Any idea how to get rid of these organically?
