Welcome to Everybody,

Since this is a new forum, we are all new here:)

I live and garden in the high desert of Nevada. We have a very trying climate as we get freezing temps as late as mid June, then we get hot temps with severe wind, then we start freezing again at night end of August. Talk about a short season! I have a small greenhouse to help me out.

I have been gardening since we moved here 11 years ago, but veggie gardening for the last 4 years. This year I am growing lots of winter and summer squash, beans, corn, melons, tomatos, peppers, eggplants, potatoes, celery, brocolli, brussels, cauliflower, cabbage, lettuce, chard, bok choy, beets, radishes, rhubarb, strawberries, blackberries, walking onions, red/white/walla onions, garlic, chives, leeks, spinach, cucumbers, peas, carrots and parsnips. I may be forgetting some things. With bad weather, and bugs, I'm sure some crops won't make it, so I try to plant a variety.

Looking forward to gaining knowledge on growing vegetables in our unique climate.

Happy Gardening
