Hello all,

It's been a while since I posted here...had some life changes, but glad to be back.

My husband and I just moved and we need to add curb appeal to our front yard. We are looking into buying two Natchez Myrtles. We want to plant them rather close to the outside (one on either side of the front door). Any information on these trees will be helpful. I would most likely to know how close I can plant to the house.
From what I have read on them they mature at 25 feet high and 20 feet wide so if your putting them by your front doors keep that in mind. You will have to either do some heavy pruning on them, and I don't know how much pruning they can take. I would suggest maybe out further from the house along the walk way so that they will give you plenty of shade. They grow quick at an average of 3 feet a year.
