Hello everyone my name is Karen i live in perth western australia were the weather is mighty hot and sticky. Well i have been gardening now for about a year and really enjoy it. I have been growing zucchini and they are massive unbelivable i have many zucchni plants wasnt sure how, many to plant when i started so i planted about 7 so you can imagen how many zucchnies i have heaps lol. So we have made zucc pickle which is awesome and some slices we also gave some to friends and family. I am also growing beans pumkin and a mystrey vegie wich i planted and caint rember what it is so i am waitng for something to friut or flower.My chillies are growing very well and so are my capsicums. I planted tomotes the cherry ones are doing good but the big ones are getting eaten all the time and i have used the sprays and everything so i am a bit lost on that one. I dont no what zone i am in. I am also growing pumkin never growin that before it is flowering not sure what to do nxt.

Hi Karen! I'm brand new here too but a quick internet search of Perth and gardening zones and I think you are in Zone 9. I'm a little jealous since here in zone 5/6 we only get about 100 days of outdoor growing, but we each do the best we can. I'd take some of your zucchinis! :)

oh and some thing good to make with zucchini is bread also, and soups. it can be frozen,canned, or even dried. if you have chickens they would love some too. I am currently buried under a blanket of snow so am very jealous of your garden.
