Rose soil for most vegetables

i got turned onto rose soil from the woman at the compost place down from the house. She swore by it, showed me pictures of her garden, and I was sold. All my green babies have like their soil EXCEPT the root vegetables, and eggplant. When I transplanted the eggplants into the black clay we have here, they are thriving. Gotta give em what they want or they won't give you what you want.
