Timetable for drying seeds?

I am just about finished harvesting our sugar snap peas. I have put aside a bowl of seeds to dry and plant. How long do those have to dry before they can be planted? I'd like to plant another round of sugar snaps later this summer for a fall harvest - can these be used this summer or do I need to put them away for next spring?
