Troubled Gardner

Hi, This year was the 4th year for a garden for me, but it was a bad year. Got the garden out late and the Texas heat and squash bugs took most of the garden. I really would like help with organizing so I can get the garden out at just the right time next year and how to plant my 3 raised beds to their full potential. Also a source that provides heirloom seed for zone 8 in drought ridden Texas.

I imagine the heat back in the midwest/east really did a number on gardens everywhere. I think I would have bagged the garden this year if I still lived back there. Hopefully next year will be much better for your garden!

Don't know when your last frost is. but about a month or so before, is time to start planning. And if you're going to start seeds in doors, a month before that. Tomatoes, usually do well everywhere. Manny types, some might handle the heat better than others, check around your area for that and other veggies that grow good in your area. Good Luck===
