We are working on the garden. The first thing we did was to add compost and fresh soil to all the beds. Because the soil was so compacted when we bought the house, it wasn't producing a lot of vegetables. We are starting over and working on fertilizer and compost. Next, we are planning to plant tomatoes, peppers and herbs. Also, the backyard shed building works are going on to store all our garden tools safely.

I was digging the soil with my excavator and adding peat/compost to improve the soil structure as I had this pest attack by larvae which will kill my plants. Then I filled each pot with compost, added compost and sieved the soil to get rid of the lumps. I then placed the plants in each pot and watered them. I watered each pot once to moisten the roots, then twice a week for the next two weeks to eliminate any fungus or bacteria. After two to three days, I would leave the planters in the shade.
