We don't usually get snow in April or May and like you we can get frost until end of May, but these last few years we haven't but i still wait until the end of May to plant everything out.

Yes it's cold, it had cleared by the evening only to get the same today. It's -5c at the moment. We have had a dry winter and march seems to be the month that we get snow but it clears quickly.

Still snow outside here so I started a few seeds indoors this morning....Sweet Potato, peppers, tomato and Sunflower. Probably a bit early for the sunflower, but I collected some seeds from last year and want to see if they will sprout.

3 out of 4 sunflowers came up and a little activity with the tomatoes and peppers.

Today I tilled my garden again getting ready to plant seedlings next week. Mainly cool weather stuff like cabbage, kale, and lettuce. My potatoes have come up and are about 4 inches high right now. Next week I will also plant a patch of sweet corn and maybe some yellow squash if I have any energy left after all of that.
