If you enjoy using fresh herbs in your meals then it's hard to beat growing your own. Most herbs are very easy to grow, do not take much space, and do not require too much maintenance.

And who doesn't like the taste and aroma of fresh herbs in the kitchen?

As I mentioned, herbs don't require a whole lot of upkeep, but they can benefit greatly when given the correct amount of proper nutrients.

A great way to provide the proper nutrients for your favorite herbs is by using Winchester Gardens' Organic Herb Fertilizer Tablets.

The Herb Fertilizer Tablet

I'll show you just how easy it is to use these organic herb fertilizer tablets.

Using the Winchester Gardens' Organic Herb Fertilizer Tablets

The best time to use the fertilizer tablets is right after planting if using transplants, or about two weeks after the seedlings have emerged if starting the herbs from seed.

Winchester Gardens recommends using eight tablets per square foot per plant. Many times when growing herbs in small containers you may have several different types of herbs all bunched together, like my small herb container.

Small Container Filled With Herbs

This herb container has rosemary, oregano, basil, and stevia.

In this situation I used four herb fertilizer tablet for each plant in the container because they were a little less than one square foot apart.

To apply the tablets I simply pushed a fertilizer tablet about two to three inches from the herb plant, and an inch deep into the soil.

Place the Fertilizer Tablet a Couple Inches from the Herb Plant
Use Your Finger To Gently Push the Tablet Into the Soil

I just my finger and gently pushed the tablet down into the soil and filled the area with soil.

I then repeated this in each "corner" of the plants until I had four fertilizer tablets for each plant.

It's just that easy!

Once I had each plant surrounded with the fertilizer tablets I watered them well. The water will cause the tablets to slowly dissolve feeding each plant.

Water the Herbs Well After Adding the Fertilizer Tablets

The tablets are made to slowly release nutrients which feed the herbs for four to six weeks.

The great thing about using the Winchester Gardens' Organic Herb Fertilizer Tablets is there is no measuring, no mess, and no fuss. It is simply the easiest way to fertilize your herbs.

To prove that these tablets work, here are my herbs one week after planting and applying the tablets.
