Living in Virginia Beach near Pungo has it's advantages like, we have access to all the farms in the area but, we love to work in our garden as well.
We have been adding raised beds in our back yard for the last 5 years and enjoy working with them every season. We normally start with seeds and have finally added a small green house instead of using the empty up stairs rooms (kids moved out, they were on the sunny side) to start.
We've had pretty good luck but, need and want to share ideas and learn more about soil health and better crops.
We are also going to down size this year since 21 boxes are getting a little difficult to take care of. we think 8 should be fine.
Anyway, we are happy to be here.
