usually the only problem with zucchini's is that there are just too many of them! Well, I have 3 zucc plants and just had to pick off 5 small zucc, about 3-4 inches long, because they were turning yellow at the tops. What causes this? and what can I do to correct the problem so I can get good zucc's this year?

Verticillium will cause the leaves to turn yellow but I am not sure about the fruits. My first zuccs of the season turned almost black and fell off when they were between 1" and 2" long. I found out this was due to there only being female flowers blooming and to not worry. Both male and female flowers are abundant now and things are growing well.
